PriceTrail — Privacy Policy

The short version: PriceTrail does not collect, store, or share any of your data. Everything stays on your phone.

What data the app handles

PriceTrail lets you scan purchase receipts, edit the detected items, tag products, and view your spending and product prices over time. All of this — receipt photos, extracted text, items, prices, tags, and charts — is processed and stored only on your device.

What leaves your device

Nothing. PriceTrail has no user accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no ads, and no servers of ours that receive your data.

• Receipt scanning (text recognition) runs fully on-device.
• Optional AI reader: you may choose to download an on-device AI model (a one-time file download). This is a plain file download — no personal data is sent, and after download the model runs entirely offline.

Permissions

• Camera / photos: used only when you scan or pick a receipt image. Images you save are copied into the app's private storage on your phone.
• Internet: used only for the optional AI model download described above.

Data deletion

Your data is yours: delete any entry in the app to remove it (including its receipt image), or uninstall the app to remove everything.

Children

PriceTrail is intended for users aged 18 and over.

Changes

If a future version adds optional features that involve data leaving the device (for example a cloud backup you connect yourself), this policy will be updated before those features ship.
